For ticket sales as of 01 August 2011 Swiss will apply the "piece concept" baggage rules, same as parent company Lufthansa and sister company Austrian.
While economy passengers were allowed to check-in as many pieces of luggage as they pleased with a total weight maximum of 20 kg the new rule will allow 23 kg in total but just one piece.
